![]() Both the hillclimb and the actual track have been modelled, but the track is our point of focus here. Goodwood Image Source: RaceDepartmentĪnother of the RaceDepartment-hosted mod that deserves a mention is Goodwood. It’s a reminder that in the UK, there are some amazing circuits outside of Silverstone. The racing circuit itself has been done justice, feeling every bit like the real track that thrills us each year in the British Touring Car Championship. This is not an rFactor conversion this is a bespoke track, accurately modelled from the pits to the trackside scenery. Speaking of circuits, the freely available Donington Park on RaceDepartment is one of the most detailed track mods Assetto Corsa has ever seen. Donington Park Image Source: RaceDepartment We just need rolling starts added and a decent Indianapolis Motor Speedway mod. Outside of iRacing, this is probably the best representation of America’s premier open-wheel series. When you add in the Texas Motor Speedway circuit available via VRC, you can have some amazing oval races, or just find those extra hundredths of a second on a hot lap. Yes, another RSS mod, but for a good reason! RSS Have replicated the 2020 Ind圜ar Series model, complete with aeroscreen. This car is a different kettle of fish to the 2020 machine: the loss of downforce is obvious, and corners that were flat out now need a lot more care than they did before. In Assetto Corsa, thanks to RSS, you can experience the new cars a year early. It doesn't sound like all this will help folks who essentially wanted a different game - I tried to explain to them what Sword Coast Legends actually was, I did - but it sounds like it'll do a fair job of making the game bigger and better.VRC have produced a very accurate representation of the car in this Assetto Corsa mod, from the physics to the sounds. ![]() They're also planning to release for free Rage of Demons, a tie-in to a new tabletop storyline which was originally announced as paid DLC - and offered as a pre-order bonus. As for the mod support coming some time in December, n-Space say it'll include a tile-based level editor, a dialogue editor, and "adjustable game systems" like the "round timer, loot tables, etc." The end of November will bring Drow Elves, a village area and bits for DMs, and more options in the death and party wiping rules. Another update next week will bring 150-ish 'nature' objects and a new outdoor area for DMs to play with, along with opening companion-specific skill trees to players, respeccing, and an item stash.
